David Norris is possibly the first gay President in the world.

In past few months, Ireland has showed that it does not select the right candidate on the basis of sexual orientation. But many people could not digest the fact and condemn the gays that support Norris’s campaign as a gay president.

But the results of the poll show that people of Ireland do not care about the sexual orientation of the president. Norris worked real hard to secure rights for gays in the country. His dedication has proved his worth to the community. He fought in the conditions in which most would back out.

Norris holds the charisma and is smart enough to handle crucial decisions with his enlightened wit. As an independent candidate, he was public’s hero but was not entitled for nomination; it was tough for him to get his recognition in either of parties because of his sexual orientation.

Now this system has many flaws, the question now arises that whether the public will vote for a gay president or not. It’ll not remain a battle between the candidates but it might become a battle between the sexual orientation of David Norris.

The question becomes, Will you vote for a gay president?
