According to reports, over the decision which was linked with the release of seriously ill republican prisoner Brendan Lillis, a chain of criticizers conclude that the decision was a biased one because if this case would be compared with Scotland’s freeing case of the Lockerbie bomber, all the judgment jury would certainly admit that their decision has exploded Northern Ireland's power-sharing government with antagonism.
However, talking about the controversy, Edwin Poots, Democratic Unionist assemblyman, commented that the justice Minister, David Ford, who gave the release judgment, certainly gave the right decision because the criticizers should understand that along with the legal responsibilities, humanity was the another important responsibility which was expected to obey because from past few months the victim was found to be suffering from the unbearable sickness.
On the other hand, while sharing her views about the judgment, Roisin Lynch, top security in charge from the Maghaberry prison, said that on the humanitarian grounds, the victim was released.
She added, "Being able to walk into that room tonight and see my partner without having guards sit there, being able to visit without people watching me, to kiss him without being watched on camera, I feel vindicated, absolutely vindicated”.
