In an attempt aimed at promoting its Nintendo 3DS-specific new game in the much popular ‘Metal Gear Solid’ gaming franchise – the title is dubbed ‘Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D -, Konami has introduced a limited edition snakeskin-embossed 3DS.

According to the reports, the limited edition snakeskin 3DS will exclusively be available only through the ‘Konami Style’ e-shop in Japan; and for that, interested customers need to register themselves for the limited edition of the console before February 3.

All those who get themselves registered for the sleek and scaly limited edition snakeskin 3DS will be included in a lottery draw; and the lucky ones who get picked will get a chance to buy the device for 22,980 yen
(approximately $300). The names of the winners at the raffle – which will be taken out on the Konami Style page - will be announced on February 10.

Those who buy the snakeskin 3DS – which cannot be purchased directly - will get a copy of the ‘Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D’ game which is scheduled to release on March 8. In addition to the game, they will also receive two Metal Gear Solid-themed plastic school-style folders which will have MGS characters printed on them.
